- The Social Security Administration intends to award a contract for a firm fixed price performance based contract for elevator maintenance and related work located at the Frank Hagel Federal Building in Richmond, California. Elevator maintenance services provided under this procurement will be in compliance with the National Elevator Industry, Inc.(NEII), Building Transportation Standards and Guidelines (NEII-1-2000, Part 7, Maintenance Guidelines). This contract will have a base period and four (4) one year option periods, for a total of five years. The Contractor will be required to submit a Preventive Maintenance Schedule to the Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative (COTR) in accordance with the requirements of the latest edition of the American National Standard Safety Code for Elevators, hereafter referred to as ANSI/ASME 17.1, 17.2 and 17.3. The Contractor is to provide a high quality elevator service as measured by: operation consistent with stated elevator performance measures; safe operation of equipment systems and components; and consistent with maximizing the equipments useful life while minimizing downtime. This project is unrestricted and the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811310. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 7699. The size standard for this NAICS code is $7.0 million. This acquisition is determined to be subject to FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. When responding to this announcement, respondents should refer to the solicitation number which is SSA-RFP-09-09-Elevator. Responses must be in writing and should be submitted to the address cited at the beginning of this notice or by email to renata.terry@ssa.gov. FAXED RESPONSES WILL NOT BE PERMITTED. It is essential for offerors to register on the Solicitation Mailing List for this solicitation to receive notification of any /all amendments and notifications. All potential contractors will be required to complete the Security Suitability Requirements before performance on an award. Offerors must be registered in the Contractor’s Central Registration (CCR) database in order to participate in this procurement. The website for CCR is (http:www.ccr.gov). The solicitation will be available on or about April 2009.
