National Institute on Drug Abuse, Office of Acquisitions- Neurosciences, Station Support/Simplified Acquisition, on behalf of the National Institute on Mental Health (NIMH), intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, Banbury Center, P.O. Box 534, Cold Spring Harbor, New York, for logistical and administrative support for an upcoming meeting to be held at Cold Spring Harbor, New York. The goal of the meeting is to identify areas of neuroscience that are of interest and relevance to psychiatrists. This meeting will also bring together outstanding psychiatry residents and research fellows with some of the most distinguished neuroscientists. The Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory maintains an active educational center conducting groundbreaking research in neurobiology. The current neuroscientific working group is holding a meeting on April 29-May 2, 2009 bringing together a vast group of neuroscientists so that the NIMH can coordinate its meeting. The Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory will provide conference facilities, logistical support and lodging for up to 40 attendees. The acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition using FAR 12 procedures and is exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6, Competition Requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this synopsis.
