Description
The Coronado National Forest, Tucson, Arizona, is soliciting quotes (RFQ) for construction and supply services required to supply and install approximately 8 miles of 1.25 inch, 160 psi PE pipe destroyed by wildfire in the Peloncillo Mountains on the Arizona-New Mexico border in far southeastern Arizona and southwestern New Mexico. All labor, equipment, and materials shall be supplied by the contractor. The contractor shall be responsible for transporting materials to the site as well as removing and disposing of the old above-ground pipe. The beginning of the proposed pipeline is accessible by vehicle; however, the remainder of the construction area is not accessible by road. This procurement is set-aside 100% for Small Businesses. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237110 and the size standard is $31 million. 3. This is a pre-solicitation notice only. The actual solicitation will be published on the Federal Business Opportunities website on or after March 23, 2009, and may be downloaded in its entirety from this website: https://www.fbo.gov/. Interested vendors who do not have internet access may request a hard copy of the solicitation by contacting Elisa Baca at 520-388-8336. A guided site visit will be conducted on March 19, 2009, beginning at 1000 MST. The rendezvous point for the site visit is the Cascabel Ranch Headquarters, which is approximately 40 miles northeast of Douglas, Arizona, via the Geronimo Trail Road (Forest Service Road 63). Cascabel Ranch can be reached from Animas, New Mexico, by traveling south on State Route 338 for approximately 26 miles and then traveling west on Geronimo Trail Road for approximately 7 miles. The gate to the Cascabel Ranch Headquarters is north of Geronimo Trail Road just outside the Forest Boundary. The site visit, while not required, is strongly advised due to the roadless, rough terrain in the project area. Please contact Joe Harris at 520-364-6821 for more information on the site visit.
