Description
This is a Sources Sought synopsis for acquisition planning purposes. No formal solicitation for this work exists at this time. All qualified concerns may submit capability statements for consideration. Capability statements received will be reviewed to determine the availability of contractors with the technical level of expertise, administrative and management capability to perform the effort described below. This capability statement will be used to determine the overall procurement strategy. The Bureau of Reclamation, Lower Colorado Region has a requirement for reconditioning an indefinite quantity of heat exchangers from generator units located at the Davis Dam Power Plant which is located at Bull Head City Arizona. It is anticipated that approximately sixteen (16) units will need to be reconditioned during the 4 year contract term. Principal features of the work include the following:a.Loading and transporting the heat exchangers from Davis Dam to the Contractor's facilities, and return upon completion of the work b.Replace all cooling tubes and fins. c.Clean and recondition the heat exchanger heads. d.Reassemble units. e.Participate in pressure tests at the Davis Dam facility prior to final acceptance. The Contractor shall be responsible for crating, packing, and securing generator heat exchangers prior to removal from the storage site. In addition, the Contractor shall be responsible for any damage that may occur in the handling and transportation of the heat exchangers.
