- The U.S. Medical Command (MEDCOM), Center for Health Care Contracting (CHCC), has a requirement for non-personal services to dispose of Regulated Medical Waste (RMW) from Irwin Army Community Hospital, Ft Riley and Munson Army Health Center, Ft Leavenworth, both located in the state of Kansas. The Government will award an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) type contract resulting from one solicitation to the responsible offeror whose proposal conforming to the solicitation will be the most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. This announcement does not constitute a solicitation. The entire solicitation including all exhibits, attachments, and amendments will be made available ONLY via the FedBizOpps website (www.fbo.gov). Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued and telephone request or fax request for the solicitation will not be accepted. The solicitation will be released on or about April 1, 2009. The solicitation may be found by selecting the following links: vendor, DoD, Department of the Army, U.S. Army Medical Command, Center for Health Care Contracting, Fort Sam Houston, TX. Interested parties may register on the website to receive notifications pertaining to this announcement. All information pertaining to this solicitation will be posted to the website. Please visit the website regularly for the latest and most up to date information. The anticipated period of performance is from 1October2009 - 30September2014 (base and four 1year option periods). This acquisition is being set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran-owned Small Business. The NAICS code is 562211. The small business size is $12.5. The Government reserves the right to cancel this presolicitation notice if necessary. The solicitation will have all of the necessary information required for the preparation and submission of the proposals.
