- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT notice. This is NOT a request for proposals. The Department of Veterans Affairs, John D. Dingell VA Medical Center, Detroit, Michigan is seeking potential firms that have the capability to provide services for renovation of the Integrated Procedures Laboratory. The Integrated Procedures Lab consist of waiting and consult rooms, staffing space, equipment prep and storage, treatment rooms, recovery rooms and radiology viewing space. Work includes demolition of existing areas, new plumbing, electrical, mechanical equipment and finish construction as covered in the contract documents, plans and specifications. The estimated dollar value of this contract is between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. The contract will have 12 month duration. The estimated award date of the contract is 1 June 2009. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220, which has a size standard of $33.5M in average annual receipts. The project requires knowledge and 5 years experience performing renovations in a hospital. ALL Qualified firms (small businesses, service disabled veteran owned businesses, HubZone firms, Woman Owned, 8a firms and large businesses) are encouraged to respond. The NAICS code is 236220 and the small business size is $33.5 million. The response to this notice shall be in summary format and shall not exceed five (5) pages. 1. Company name, address, point of contact, telephone number, fax number, and email address. 2. Bonding capacity (construction bonding level per contract and aggregate construction bonding level, both expressed in dollars). 4. List the last three Construction projects of similar size and scope to include contract number, award date, dollar value of contract, project location, and point of contact. No basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result of a response to this sources sought or Government use of any information provided. The Government will not pay for information or comments provided and will not recognize any costs associated with submission of comments. All firms regardless of business size that are interested in responding are invited to submit their information via email only to the Contracting Officer at Barbara.Wilkinson@va.gov. Attachments must be provided in either Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat PDF format. Please send responses by no later than 2:00 PM local prevailing time at Detroit, MI on March 16, 2009.
