Description
The US Army CECOM Life Cycle Management Center, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703, intends to issue a sole source modification to Firm Fixed Price, Requirements Contract Number W15P7T-05-D-C027-Mod 3 for acquisition of ID-2277A-A Vertical Situation Indicators (VSIs) and ID-2278B-A Horizontal Situation Indicators (HSIs). The modification is to extend the contracts ordering period from 31 July 2010 to 31 July 2014 to enable additional Delivery Orders (DOs) to be issued for both indicators. There will be no increase to the contractual ceiling value as a result of this action, only Period Of Performance. VSI and HSI are critical components of the Armys fleet of UH-60A-L Black Hawk helicopters, and are part of the pilots Command Instrument Set (CIS) that is used to display navigation information. There are two VSIs and HSIs per aircraft. The VSI provides the pilot with the ability to monitor the pitch, roll, altitude, turn rate, and slip-skid of the helicopter while the HSI provides the pilot with critical directional and positional information. The Government does not posses complete, detailed, and current technical data for HSI and VSIs that would be essential for any other source to be able to produce form, fit, and functionally interchangeable spare parts to ensure the effective operation of the Black Hawk Helicopters. This sole source modification is authorized under FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and 10USC2304(c)(1) with Astronautics Corporation of America (ACA), Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Technical Point of Contact for this action is Man Moy, CECOM LCMC Logistics Readiness Center, 732-532-5404; man.moy@us.army.mil. The deadline for response is 20 March 2006. EMAIL man.moy@us.army.mil
