Description
Western Area Power Administration has a requirement for a contractorto provideall labor, materials, equipment, transportation and other resources tocompletethis project.The principal components of the work involve the construction of a highvoltage230/115-kV electrical substation near Williston, North Dakota. Workincludessitework, concrete foundations, fencing, grounding system, providinggalvanizedsteel structures, furnishing and installing major outdoor electricalequipment,installing Government-furnished transformers, circuit breakers, andadditionalequipment, furnishing and installing some transmission line work,constructinga site built service building, and other additional items as described onthedrawings and specifications. The work is located in Williams County, North Dakota. This solicitation is 100% Full and Open Competition - Sealed Bids. The estimated construction magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000and$5,000,000. All work is to be completed within 300 calendar days fromissuanceof the Notice to Proceed. All responsible business concerns may submit abidwhich shall be considered by this Agency. This solicitation will be issuedonor about March 26, 2009 and the projected bid opening date is April 28,2009.Interested bidders must email, fax or mail the Contract Specialist torequestthe specifications and applicable drawings. DO NOT post any questions orresponses to this IFB on IIPS. Any questions or responses posted to IIPSthatconcern this IFB will not be considered during the evaluation and awardprocess. Any non-U.S. (Foreign National) visiting or working at anyWesternArea Power Administration facility must receive prior written approval fromtheappropriate Western Security Manager.
