Description
The United States Army Contracting Command, CECOM Contracting Center, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703, intends to award on a non-competitive basis, a Firm-Fixed Price contract to procure 147 18,000 (18K) British Thermal Units/Hour (BTUs/H) 208 Volt (V), 3-Phase, 50/60Hz Environmental Control Units (ECUs), NSN 4120-01-523-4472 and 225 18K BTUs/H 230V, 1-Phase, 50/60Hz ECUs, NSN 4120-01-523-4131, and associated Technical Manuals (TMs). This effort is Sole Source to Snowbird Environmental Systems, Inc., 4859 Victor Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32207-7963, under the authority of 10U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source. Delivery of all ECUs can be received not later than 31 December 2009. The 18K ECU is a tactical Environmental Control Unit that provides cooling, heating, dehumidification and filtering of air to a variety of major weapon systems. It is manufactured in accordance with a Performance Specification. Snowbird has successfully conducted First Article Testing and is currently producing the ECUs and TMs. It is essential that these items are the same models as those currently fielded to ensure interchangeability. The proposed action is forecast to be awarded by 9 July 2009. All Parties interested in doing business with CECOM LCMC are invited to access, operate, send and receive information from the IBOP at https://abop.monmouth.army.mil. Upon accessing this web page, click on CECOM-2009 and then hit go. You will need to register with the IBOP in order to view solicitations. Drawings and/or links to drawings will be provided on the website. Please be advised that hard copies of the solicitation will not be made available; you must download solicitation documents from the IBOP.
