Description
NAPAW 18th National Training Conference & Small Business Exposition The National Association of Professional Asian American Women (NAPAW) will conduct the 18th National Training conference & Small Business Expo in collaboration with the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS)/ Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) on April 14-15, 2009, at the CMS Building, located in Baltimore, Maryland. The Annual Asian Pacific Heritage Small Business Exposition will offer an opportunity to small business owners and Government Representatives to hone their business skills by interacting with successful professionals from the public and private sectors who will share their proven, best small business practices. This conference will focus workshop topics on “Doing Business with the Federal Governments” “Simplified Acquisition Procedures” Marketing Strategies” “EEO issues” “Networking Session”. In addition, there will be ample networking opportunities with other business participants as well as federal executives in the small business arena. As an organization comprised of business women, NAPAW was founded in August, 1987 for the exclusive purpose of providing educational and training opportunities for women and minorities. The focal point of the organization is to help small businesses understand the government contracting process and the many approaches to doing business with the federal government, such as teaming and subcontracting.
