Description
The US Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity, on behalf of its customer, the US Army Medical Materiel Agency, has a requirement for additional medical fielding support. An additional two teams of six members each are needed for a period of two years. Teams must include an experienced chief, a data integration specialist proficient in the Army application TEWLS, and four fielders. Teams must be in place by 16 April 2009. The additional teams are needed to support an immediate Army need to reset and modernize the medical equipment capabilities of returning and deploying units. USAMRAA intends to negotiate a sole source contract modification with the existing fielding contractor, Eagles Systems, Inc. of Lawton, OK under contract DAMD17-03-D-0002. This is a cost type, award term contract. Eagle is in the first award term year and has earned an additional three award terms based on exceptional performance. The intent is to make a sole source award pursuant to FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document exists. Any firm that believes it can provide the stated capability within the established timeframe is invited to submit written notification to the Contracting Officer within 15 calendar days from the date of publication of this notice. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the firms ability to provide the stated capability within the established timeframe. Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer at: USAMRAA, ATTN: MCMR-AAA-G (Gilbert Hovermale), 820 Chandler Street, Frederick, MD 21702-5014. No telephone requests will be accepted. Responses received will be evaluated, however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, USAMRAA will proceed with the sole source contract modification.
