Description
RFQ This is a combined synopsis / solicitation for NOAA, National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) located at 2725 Montlake Blvd East, Seattle, WA for Oracle Collaboration Suite support services. Background The Northwest Fisheries Science Center (NWFSC) is seeking support for the following Oracle products: Oracle Collaboration Suite (OCS), Oracle Application Server, Oracle Databases (RDBMS), and Oracle Grid Control. NWFSC government staff includes 2 Systems Administrators and 1 Oracle Database Administrator (DBA). The government requires primary contract support for OCS and supplemental contract support for other Oracle products. Historically, Oracle contract staff has included one part time OCS Administrator and one part time Oracle DBA. Contract staff works closely with the government Oracle DBA and other government staff as necessary. Primary administration of OCS has been performed by contract OCS Administrator. Other Oracle products have been primarily administered by the government Oracle DBA with assistance from contract Oracle DBA. Servers are administered by government Systems Administrators. In the past, Oracle support provided by contract staff has ranged from approximately 30-50 hours per week: 10-20 hours for OCS Administrator, 20-30 hours for Oracle DBA. Technical Environment for OCS OCS is configured on 4 Linux servers: OCS RDBMS (version 10.2.0.2), middle tier Application Server (10.1.2.0.2), Infrastructure Application Server (10.1.2.0.2) and RDBMS (10.1.0.5), and middle tier Real Time Conferencing Application Server. There are a total of 8 Linux servers for the OCS application (version 10.1.2.4): 4 development servers and 4 production servers. In addition, Oracle Grid Control (version 10.2.0.1) for OCS resides on one Linux server. Technical Environment for other Oracle Products Oracle RDBMS (versions 9.2.0.8, 10.1.0.4, and 10.2.0.3) resides on 9 Linux and 2 Windows servers. Four of the databases are geo-spatial databases connected to ESRI ArcSDE servers. Oracle Application Server (versions 9.0.4.3.0 and 10.1.2.2.0) resides on 2 Linux servers and 2 Windows servers. Support Required The following task list represents potential areas of support to be addressed under this order:  Administer and customize Oracle Collaboration Suite (OCS)  Maintain OCS components (e.g., Calendar, Real-Time Collaboration, Workspaces, etc)  Administer Oracle Application Server, Oracle Databases and Grid Control  Perform upgrades as necessary  Apply quarterly Critical Patch Updates  Administer Backup and Recovery  Write and maintain Linux/UNIX scripts  Provide support for troubleshooting as needed  Work with Oracle Support as necessary  Provide performance tuning  Maintain current documentation Period of Performance Base Period: Award Date plus 90 days Option Period 1: 6/1/2009 - 8/31/2009 Option Period 2: 9/1/2009 - 10/31/2009 **** The Westren Regional Acquisition Division, requires that all contractors doing business with this Acquisition Office be registered with the Central Contractor Registey (CCR) as of October 1, 2003.
