- Description - Regional Contracting Center Ft. Sam Houston/DPW Ft. Sam Houston has a requirement for an annual subscription for software support for Rockwell Automation Ft. Sam Houston MICC intends to procure a sole source requirement for the subscription from the following small business organization: Mid-Coast Electric Supply Company 10700 Sentinel Drive, San Antonio, TX 78217 for a one-year period with options for two more one year periods. This subscription can not be provided by any other organization and as such, it is in the best interest of the Government to obtain the subscription from Mid-Coast Electric Supply. This subscription will include the following: 1. DirectConnect (8-5, M-F) - Automation Control Site Support (5-10 Processors) 2. DirectConnect (8-5, M-F) - Drives Control Site Support (5-10 Drives) 3. DirectConnect (8-5, M-F) - HMI & Communication Software Support 4. DirectConnect (8-5, M-F) - Information Software Support.Period of performance is for one year with two one year options. Period of performance is approximately 1-April-09 through 31-March-10.Option year one is 1-April-10 through 31-March-11. Option year two is 1-April-11 through 31-March-12. Note: the vendor chosen must be an approved provider for this area per software manufacturer (Rockwell Automation). The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations. No solicitation will be made available. Interested parties who believe they can meet this requirement may submit information about their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to: Jenniffer M. Vazquez Contract Specialist via email at jenniffer.vazquez@us.army.mil no later than 4:00 PM CST, 17 March 2009. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This award will be made using simplified acquisition procedures (FAR Part 13). Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
