Description
The US Army Operational Test Command (OTC) is seeking interested sources capable of designing, developing and producing LAPS units suitable for field use on military armored and other vehicles. The application envisioned is for an auxiliary power source for military vehicle related test instrumentation. OTC is interested in contractors that can design, develop and produce LAPS units based upon the information located on the following website https://www.amsca.atec.army.mil. All interested parties are encouraged to view the requirement. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). The Government does not intend to pay for any information furnished pursuant to this synopsis. The NAICS Code is 335911 with a size standard of 500 employees. Interested parties who believe they have the expertise and experience shall submit their Technical Capabilities in writing to: ATTN: Patricia Cuff, (Contracting Officer) or Tunissha Marshall (Contract Specialist), ATEC Mission Support Contracting Office, P.O. Box Y, Building 91035, Fort Hood Texas 76544-0770 by 20 April 2009. If responding by email (telephone responses will not be accepted) title your subject line LAPS Sources Sought Response all responses must be received no later than 20 April 2009 to: amsca.atec@us.army.mil. All information received from Industry will be used to determine Source Selection, type of contract and competition strategy. Interested parties must provide their technical capability in writing to the ATEC Mission Support Contracting Activity. The Technical Capabilities must include but not be limited to the following: Related experience, related capabilities and discussions on contractor's opinion as to the feasibility of meeting the Government performance requirements, and overview of the contractor's anticipated technical approach. Based on the NAICS code standard identified above, the interested sources shall identify business size as small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, HUBZone small business, small disadvantaged business, small business woman-owned or large business. Written questions, comments and suggestions regarding the above requirement are encouraged and will only be accepted at amsca.atec@us.army.mil.
