- THIS NOTICE IS FOR SOURCES SOUGHT ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL OR INVITATION FOR BID. SOLICITATION, SPECIFICATIONS AND DRAWINGS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. The number for this announcement is W912P8-09-SS-0009. The US Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, solicits a capability statement from all qualified construction companies. There are numerous projects throughout the New Orleans District's area of operations, most of which will require construction. Each contract, if bid separately, may range between $100,000 and $50,000,000. However, we are currently investigating issuing one or more indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity and/or multiple award task order contracts under which to solicit some projects. The responses to this Sources Sought will help determine the appropriate acquisition decisions regarding the type of procurement, size of contracts and the number of contracts to be utilized to obtain construction and other services for this work. These projects include performing construction and other activities, such as replacement of generators; purchase plastic whales/timbers; elevate generator house; hydraulic gate operating mach; high mast lighting; resheet and insulate a building; guidewall and/or dolphin replacement; gates; PLC system; jetty repair; lateral pile dike repairs; modify control house/building repairs; foreshore protection; install waterline; resurface black top/ground improvements; paint tainter gates; dewatering and major maintenance; install shore power system/cameras; dredge components; replace fire pump system and shop building replacement. Access to the jobsite may consist of both land and water access depending on the station in question. NAICS codes may vary depending on the particular project. All interested companies are invited to submit a Capability Statement with appropriate documentation, literature and brochures and should include: 1) Firm name, address, telephone, and fax numbers, 2) Past experience with similar work. 3) Letter from bonding agency indication your performance and payment bond capacity, 4) provide dollar value range of contracts for which you would be most likely to compete, and 6) indicate your business size for NAICS 237990, 238990 and all small business set asides for which your company qualifies (e.g. Small Business, 8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Business). IMPORTANT: Responses must be limited to no more than 5 pages. Submission of a Capabilities Statement is not a prerequisite to any potential future offerings. However, participation will assist the Corps in tailoring requirements to be consistent with industry capabilities, including available capacity of various segments thereof. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and is neither to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited. Respondents WILL NOT be notified of the results of the evaluation. Statements that do not meet all requirements or submitted within the allotted time may not be considered.
