Combined Synopsis-Solicitation for repair of USGS mobile office in Dixon CA. This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and A SEPERATE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The U.S. Geological Survey, Western Fisheries Research Center, Seattle, WA, has a requirement for the following services. IGENERAL INFORMATIONA.Background The Western Fisheries Research Center (WFRC) owns a manufactured home serving as a laboratory which was purchased in 1999. This unit is in need of inspection and repair due to storm related damage and settling over time. This USGS asset is used as the only space available to perform laboratory work on site for the WFRC.B.Scope This project includes all activities to renovate and repair the laboratory.Work to be performed includes the following: 1.Check and level trailer with concrete footings to prevent jacks from settling2.Remove any deteriorated joint sealant and reseal all exterior seams and joints around doors, windows, and siding3.Scrape, sand, and prime all loose paint areas4.Inspect siding/trim for dry rot and replace as necessary5.Inspect existing fume hood exhaust and install appropriate weather cap to guard against future storm damage6.Replace all exterior doors with solid core wood doors7.Repaint trailer's exterior. (submit color samples to USGS for approval)8.Install interior 3/8" sub floor, joint all seams, and install epoxy coating9.Wrap epoxy 4 inches up wall in lieu of cove base10.Prepare and reapply new roof coating11.Install permanent entryway cover above all exterior doors to prevent future water and sun damage IIWORK REQUIREMENTS A.Technical RequirementsWork shall be complete no later than 31 July 2009. B.Deliverables1.Weatherproofed trailer exterior as described in the scope of work.2.One year labor and material warranty. This solicitation document contains incorporated provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-30, dated 17 February 2009. The solicitation number for this procurement is 09WRQQ0068 and is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). This request is issued as a small business set aside procurement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 321991, Manufactured Home Manufacturing, with an applicable size standard of 500 employees. Provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. Request for Quotation (RFQ) should be submitted and shall contain the following information: RFQ NUMBER; TIME SPECIFIED FOR RECEIPT OF QUOTES; NAME, ADDRESS; TELEPHONE NUMBER OF QUOTER; TERMS OF THE EXPRESSED WARRANTY; ANY DISCOUNT TERMS AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF ALL SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS (if applicable). Signed quotes must indicate quantity, unit price and total amount for each item. Offerors shall include a statement specifying the extent of agreement with all terms, conditions and provisions included in the solicitation.
