Description
REPLACE FUEL UPLOAD FACILITY AND FUEL STORAGE TANKS AND REPAIR LIQUID FUEL PUMP STATION/PIPELINES, KIRTLAND AIR FORCE BASE, BERNALILLO COUNTY, NEW MEXICO. This acquisition is Unrestricted, and thus open to large and small business concerns. NAICS is 237120/SIC 1623, with a size standard of $33,500,000.00. The magnitude of construction is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000.00. Bonding will be required for this acquisition. The bidders attention is directed to Section 00100 in the Solicitation for information regarding the tour of the site. Plans will be issued on or about March 27, 2009, with bids due on or about April 28, 2009. This solicitation will not be issued on paper. WORK CONSISTS replacing the existing offload facility at Kirtland AFB with new equipment to offload four positions. New fuel pumps for the fillstands, new piping between the fuel offloads and the pumphouse, and the receipt of filter separators are to be replaced. Construction includes two new 40,000 barrel tanks with all associated tank issue and receipt piping to the pumphouse. Project includes secondary containment, access roads, lighting, site improvements, utilities, drainage and a new cathodic protection system, as well as the demolition of the two existing tanks. This project will be advertised as a Request for Proposals. Proposed procurement will result in a firm fixed price contract. Notification of amendments shall be made via Internet only, as well. It is therefore the contractors responsibility to check the following address daily for any posted changes to this solicitation.
