Description
THIS ANNOUNCEMENT REPLACES A PREVIOUS ANNOUNCEMENT NO. GSCR090009 Title: U.S. GOVERNMENT SEEKS APROXIMATELY 3,400 RENTABLE SQUARE FEET OF OFFICE AND INDUSTRIAL SPACE IN HAYS, KS Requirement:The United States Government, U.S. Geological Survey, is seeking to lease approximately 3,400 Rentable Square Feet of professional office and industrial space in Hays, KS. The space shall yield a minimum of 2,750 ANSI/BOMA Office Area Square Feet (OASF). All prospective buildings/properties must be physically located within, or front the following delineated area: North: Fairground Rd/55th St between 230th and 260th Ave and Vineyard Rd between 260th and 270th Ave. West: Highway 183 (230th Avenue) between West 41st St and Fairground Rd. South: East 8th St between 270th Ave and Canterbury Dr, Canterbury Dr north to E 13th St, E 13th St to Vine St, Vine St south to E 8th St, Vine St North to Cedar St, Cedar St to E 13th St, E 13th St to Vine St, Vine St to 41st via Frontage Rd, 41st St to Hall St, Hall St to W 29th St, W 29th St to Canal Blvd, Canal Blvd to W 27th St, W 27th St to Augusta Ln, August Ln to Hall St, Hall St to 41st St, 41st St to Highway 183. East: 270th Avenue (Commerce Parkway) between Vineyard Rd and East 8th St. For further clarification of the delineated area - a detailed map is available upon request. Buildings submitted for consideration must be in a quality building, professional in appearance, and of sound and substantial construction having fully adequate means of ingress and egress, must fully meet requirements of the Architectural Barriers Act Accessibility Standard (ABAAS) for disabled access, and must be altered or constructed to meet the Government's requirements. Spaces must be contiguous, ground level, and contain a minimum of 1,200 usable square feet of general office and 1,550 usable square feet of Light Industrial space. A fenced ware yard with a minimum of 1,650 square feet is required for government vehicles and equipment. Thirteen (13) general parking spaces for visitors and employees must be provided on site. The lease shall be 20 years; 7 years firm. The lease will be a fully serviced lease incorporating as part of the rental consideration all services and supplies, taxes, insurance, maintenance, and tenant improvements. The space should not be located within a 100-year flood plain. To submit a location for inspection, expressions of interest must be submitted in writing no later than March 25, 2009 and should include the following: Address/location of site, square footage, name, address and phone number of individual to be contacted, name of recorded owner, and evidence of authority to represent the owner as necessary.
