- Under the Authority of Federal Acquisitions Regulation, Part 6, Subparts 6.301 and 6.302, on behalf of the Bureau of Economic Analysis, The U.S. Census Bureau intends to contract with The FreshLook Marketing, LLC, on a sole source basis, to provide data on scanner sales for perishable items in the grocery channel for use by BEA's National Income and Wealth Division in estimating GDP. Freshlook Marketing, LLC will provide an annual summary for 2008. The data will be provided for the total US, and will be provided in an Excel file. Data is to be delivered within 28 business days of signature approval or within 28 business days of the end of the calendar year. The period of performance shall consist of a base year and four option years. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. In doing so, interested sources must submit a capabilities statement and other information that demonstrates BEA's needs. Detailed capabilities must be submitted to Lisa Safewright at email lisa.r.safewright@census.gov. This notice is not to be considered a request for quotations or proposals. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers reveived in response to this notice, but offers will be used to determine if a comparable source is available and more advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response is received by the expiration date, a contract may be issued without further notice.
