- Design/Build Project for an Armed Forces Reserve Center (AFRC) in Amarillo, TX. This project will provide an approximately 60,000 square foot training building, an approximately 5,000 square foot Vehicle Maintenance Shop (VMX), and an approximately 1,000 square foot Organization Unit Storage. The AFRC will provide an adequately sized and functionally configured facility to accommodate the mission and staffing for three Army Reserve units and three Texas Army National Guard units with administrative, educational, assembly, library, learning center, vault, weapons simulator and physical fitness areas. The project will also provide adequate parking space for all military and privately-owned vehicles. Facilities must comply with DOD minimum antiterrorism force protection construction standards. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 236220, with a size standard of $33,500,000.00. The cost range is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. This solicitation is Full and Open and the basis for award is Best Value. Proposals will be evaluated by the government in accordance with the following criteria: Prime Contractor Experience, Design Team Experience, Past Performance, Technical Approach, Management Capabilities and Price and Pro Forma Information. Site visit information will be provided in the solicitation document. The construction cost limit is $13,700,000.00. The performance period is 486 days. The proposal due date is on or about 23 April 2009, 1:00pm. (Eastern Time). Project documents will be available on or about 19 March 2009 by download from the Internet only.
