- UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT Notice of Intent to Lease Space Using Other Than Full and Open Competition Rockville, MD The United States Government intends to award a lease, using other than full and open competition, to 6116 Executive Boulevard, Rockville, MD, for the offices of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This lease will be for a total of 151,558 rentable square feet of fully serviced space for up to three years. The purpose of this lease is to extend the Government’s occupancy at 6116 Executive Boulevard prior to consolidating NIH under a prospectus-level lease (SFO 08-008). Firms who are interested in commenting regarding the Government’s intent to award this project under other than full and open competition or in obtaining additional information regarding the above procurement should provide their written comments to James Phelan, Contracting Officer, at james.phelan@gsa.gov or to his attention at the General Services Administration, Metropolitan Service Center, 1099 14th Street NW, Suite 200W, Washington, DC, 20005. Comments mailed to this address should be made by a delivery method with confirmation. Any written comments are to be received by the Contracting Officer within 10 working days of the publication of this notice. Unless any comments are received that cause the Government to question its decision to award a lease using other than full and open competition, this notice of intent should be considered to express the Government’s final decision.
