Backflow of contaminants at the cross-connections is to be prevented by adding reduced pressure zone (RPZ) backflow preventers at each potable water service entrance and a double check valve assembly (DCVA) backflow preventer at each fire service entrance. Due to the resulting pressure reduction after backflow valve installation, increased capacity of domestic water pumps and fire pumps will be added as necessary to complete the installation. Duration of contract 360 days from notice to proceed. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 236220, and the annual size standard is $33,500,000.00. The estimated price range of this requirement is between $2,050,000.00 and $3,400,000.00. It is the Smithsonian's intent to award a Delivery Order under an existing IDIQ Contract. The Delivery Order will be awarded under the authority of FAR 16.505.
