Description

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Replacement of an existing timber boardwalk across a marsh section of the Town Creek ATV Trail with a new 6 ft wide timber boardwalk with a helical pile foundation system. Quantities include 340 LF new timber boardwalk, 90 helical soil anchors, 144 SF Percstone pavers (or equal) at each end of boardwalk and 140 LF refurbishment of trailbed beyond the boardwalk portion. Work includes dismantling the existing 322 LF timber crossing and removal of the materials off government property, cutting/felling approximately 7 hazard and snag trees along and adjacent to the crossing structure, clearing for the boardwalk and the trail end tie-ins, necessary trail grading, any required stone fill at the ramps and the specified stone placement at the boardwalk two ends to connect with ramps. PROJECT LOCATION: Oconee Ranger District, Greene County, Georgia. The site is located approximately 7-10 miles from Greensboro, Georgia and I-20. ESTIMATE COST RANGE: between $25,000 and $100,000. This project is open to any size business.
