- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for eighteen (18) High Power QCW laser diode arraysDescription: 5-bar G-type package, conductively cooled diode bar width 10mm diodebar-to-bar spacing (pitch) = 0.40mmOperational specifications:Center wavelength: 809nm (+/- 2nm or less)50 Hz @ 150 us pulsewidth70W/bar (30% derated)Array package temperature: &gt;/= 3 OCSlow axis divergence: &lt; 15 degrees FWHMFast axis divergence: &lt; 40 degrees FWHMBar rating specifications:100 Watts/bar peak rated at 2% duty cycle full power = 500 Watts/array efficiency &gt;45%Must be manufactured with indium free packageQuantity: 18 arrays, each array = 5 bars, total bars + 90 barsThis notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared inaccordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additionalinformation included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the onlysolicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are beingrequested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to usethe On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above orit may be accessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=. The information required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the SimplifiedAcquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13.Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing (e-mail is preferred)no later than Wednesday, April 1, 2009. Prospective quoters shall notify this office oftheir intent to submit a quotation. It is the quoter's responsibility to monitor thissite for the release of amendments (if any).
