Description
The General Services Administration Office of Motor Vehicle Management (GSA Fleet) is seeking qualified vendors who can provide the following vehicle data services. GSA Fleet is seeking the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) stated Environmental Protection Agency submitted miles per gallon (MPG) ratings, city and highway (and combined if available), for vehicles in the Federal fleet. These values will be derived on a vehicle identification number (VIN) matching basis for the inventory of vehicles. GSA Fleet desires to obtain the OEM specified MPG ratings for the largest percentage of vehicles as possible. The inventory consists of over 250,000 vehicles ranging from compact sedans, minivans, passenger vans, SUVs, pick-up trucks, maintenance utility vehicles, buses, ambulances, medium and heavy trucks, and trailers (no MPG requested). While the majority of vehicles are recent model years (2000 and on), there are a number of vehicles that date back farther. It is desired that every vehicle should be provided with the OEM MPG ratings and an explanation of how many model years (how far back) the vendor is able to provide this data is requested. It is anticipated that the successful vendor will be able to provide the requested MPG information by a match on the subject vehicle’s VIN. GSA Fleet will provide a simple listing of VINs. The resultant file will return the VIN and the OEM MPG ratings for city and highway (and combined if available). The desired output format is electronic, with Excel (.xls), text (.txt), or comma-separated value (.csv) files being preferred. It is anticipated that this will be a one-time exercise of data matching (with the opportunity for correction of incorrect or missing VINs) and not a recurring data analysis need. A file processing turnaround time of less than two (2) days is requested.
