Description
Solicitation Number: FA8501-09-R-0023 Notice Type: Presolicitation Synopsis: This is a presolicitation notice for the Transient Alert Services at Robins AFB, GA. This acquisition will be a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside. The Government anticipates award of a basic year and four one year options. The Government expects to release a Request for Proposal (RFP) on or about 15 Apr 2009. The Government will use the Price and Performance Trade-Off Strategy (PPT). Specific proposal preparation instructions and evaluation basis for award will be detailed in the RFP. The Government anticipates award of the contract 31 Aug 2009 and full performance beginning 1-30 Sep 2009. Proposed period of performance is as follows: Basic Year: 1 Sep 2009 - 30 Aug 2010; Option I: 1 Sep 2010 - 30 Aug 2011; Option II: 1 Sep 2011 - 30 Aug 2012; Option III: 1 Sep 2012 - 30 Aug 2013; Option IV 1 Sep 2013 - 30 Aug 2014. This requirement includes but is not limited to: Aircraft arrival, processing and departure services. Vehicle and equipment escort service on the airfield and CDDAR and emergency services, and Special Events. Contractors may be required to perform the following tasks: ground handling, marshaling, installing safety pins, inspecting brakes, inserting ground chocks and protective covers, grounding aircraft, placing ladders and staircases if necessary, assisting aircrew, and minor maintenance on all transient aircraft. This requirement also requires maintenance of approximately 50 pieces of ground support equipment used in conjunction with daily duties.
