Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to extend the period of performance of contract # SB1341-08-SE-0255 by four months on a sole source basis with Prometheus Computing LLC, New Market, MD, under the authority of 41 U.S.C.253(c) (1). This procurement is to allow the time necessary to conduct a new competition of these requirements, to continue the development and maintaining the following existing NIST Software Systems: 1) NIST Calibration Check Standards and Database, 2) NIST Bibliography Database, and 3) NIST EEEL RFID Inventory Database. Examples of the process include the following: the NIST calibration process; the ERB to build and maintain this application which manages the WERB process at NIST; and RFID technologies and inventory process, and NIST applications that it must interface with. The sole source determination is based on contractor’s unique expertise and detailed knowledge and experience in maintaining and developing the existing software systems and NIST’s need for continued services until a new competitive process is completed.
