Description
This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This RFQ and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-30. This solicitation is a total small business set-aside, NAICS 212324, with a small business size standard of 501 employees. The National Park Service encourages the participation of small, disadvantaged, and women-owned businesses. The Government intends to issue a firm-fixed price contract to the responsible offeror whose total offer represents the best value for the Government, price and other factors considered. Prices must include all costs for all work as shown (INCLUDES DELIVERY). Gateway National Recreation Area has a requirement/need for Infield Topping. The Infield Topping/Ballfield Mix The Infield material will be used to restore the surface of the baseball fields within the parks. Required ServicesThe Infield material supplier shall supply 325 tons of Infield material. The distribution of the material shall be 225 tons to Miller Field and 100 tons to Great Kills Park. The Infield material shall consist of:Particle size:Gravel > 4.75mmSand > 4.75mmSilt.005mm-.075mmClay <.005mmComposition:Gravel 0.1% (<1%)Sand 73.8% (70-75%)Silt 9.2% (5-10%)Clay 16.9% (15-20%)The Infield material supplier shall deliver 225 tons of Infield material to a paved storage site adjacent to the hangar at Miller Field and 100 tons of Infield material to the gravel parking lot at Great Kills Park. Vendor shall coordinate delivery with Contracting Officers Representative. All material will be delivered by April 8, 2009. Delivery hours shall be 8:00am-12:00 pm.
