Description

U.S. Customs and Border Protection intends to issue a sole source award for one MTDII Digital Mobile GPS Tracking Antenna to Broadway Microwave Services, Inc (BMS). BMS manufactures the MTDII, a self contained, ground tracking antenna pod with remote control availability. This antenna is intended for use wherever mobility and ease of use are required. The antenna is easily transported and deployed on a tripod or permanently mounted on top of a vehicle, or mounted on top of a telescoping air mast. The antenna track continuously 360 degrees in Azimuth and is easy to operate requiring minimum operator attention. Setup of the system is easy and it automatically calibrates, selects the correct antenna, and enters a search mode to detect the microwave signal from the surveillance aircraft. CBP Air and Marine currently purchases aircraft downlink systems for the Bombardier Dash 8 Q200, Pilatus PC-12, and Aerospatiale AS350 A-Star from BMS.
