- Description
- This is a Market Survey to locate additional or alternate sources for the Command Instrument Processor CP-2036-A, (CIP), NSN 6610-01-280-9729, PN 146310-7. Astronautics Corporation of America, 4115 N. Teutonia Avenue, P.O. Box 523, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53201, CAGE 10138 is the current source of supply for this item. There is one each CIP installed in the Army UH-60 Black Hawk Helicopter. The CIP is an integrated navigation set. It contains a central computer that processes signals from navigation and flight instruments to produce visible steering commands for the pilot and co-pilot. The steering commands allow the pilot to fly a desired heading, reach a selected course, land using an Instrument Landing System, maintain a fixed altitude, and make programmed decelerations and descents at a predetermined airspeed and altitude. The Government is planning to extend/award a one year contract to extend the current contract, which ends 2013, to the year 2014 with an approximate procurement quantity of 9 units per month. A complete technical data package defining the materials, manufacture and acceptance of this item is not available from the Army. Interested sources must provide information to verify that their item has obtained Air Worthiness Release (AWR) Certification from the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM), or details of when an AWR Certification is anticipated, production lead time, and the status of the Suppliers production line. Sources capable of providing the CIP are required to write to Commander, U.S. Army CECOM LCMC, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-CCS-N-AA, Building 1200E, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703-5000. Successful supplier may be required to warrant that the supplied items will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army. This Market Survey does not obligate the Government to award a contract. No telephone responses will be accepted, only responses in writing or email will be considered. For more information contact Man F. Moy: man.moy@us.army.mil. The deadline for response April 10, 2009. EMAIL: man.moy@us.army.mil.
