- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate Firm Fixed Price contract actions with BAE Systems (BAES) United Kingdom, on a sole source basis for the procurement of approximately 130 AV-8B 100% Leading Edge Root eXtenion (LERX) assembly modifications. As the sole manufacturer and developer of the 100% LERX assemblies, BAE is the only known source with the technical experience necessary to perform this effort within the time frame required to meet the Government's needs.
