Description
The U.S. Department of Agriculture, BA, intends to award a sole source purchase order (as prescribed in FAR 6.302-1) with Applea Corporation, (DBA Applied Biosystems Group). The contractor shall provide a support package on the Voyager DE sSTR MALDI-TOF Mass Spectrometer, S/N 4334. Applied Biosystems Group shall provide a service contract that covers one year of a support package that includes all replacement parts, labor and travel costs, also includes an annual preventative maintenance service call, priority technical service and application support by telephone and e-mail and priority response (2 business days) for service requests. A factory trained engineer that shall perform all maintenance as described in the Voyager series planned preventative maintenance checklist. The Service agreement shall guarantee that all services will be performed by engineers demonstrating continuous factory training and certification by Applied Biosystems on Voyager DE sSTR instruments. The contract The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 334516. The anticipated award date is April 07, 2009. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent; nor is it a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation for offers. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All non-OEM contractors responding to this Notice of Intent must show proof of current Applied Biosystems factory training and certification in writing. All replacement parts shall be ordered from Applied Biosystems and shall be manufactured by Applied Biosystems or their direct vendors; and shall be new or true factory remanufactured parts.
