- The Directorate of Contracting, Fort Carson, CO 80913, intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order to a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business, Pro Patria, Inc., 8760 Cutt Off Road, Castorland, NY 13620-3104. The NAICS for this acquisition is 423910 and the size standard is 500 employees. The specific requirement is an Enhancement Kit for the Mossberg model number 500/590, 12 gauge shotgun, of various barrel lengths. The kit contains an M-4 carbine-style collapsible butt stock, a sling system, a forearm picatinny rail, a shotgun retention system, a picatinny rail and a breaching barrel. Market research reveals the only source for the entire modification kit is Pro Patria, Inc. The six components are manufactured by individual manufacturers. The Government considers the acquisition of the entire Enhancement Kit to be more economical than ordering from individual manufacturers. The Government considered purchase order preparation coupled with preaward and post award administration factors in determining the potential duplication of costs are not expected to be recovered through competition of individual purchase orders. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION. A purchase order will not be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice.
