- Description
- The U.S. Department of Energy, Southwestern Power Administration(Southwestern) is seeking proposals to furnish, deliver and install one (1) autotransformer at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (COE) Eufaula Dam Substation, located approximately 8 miles SW of Porum, OK on Hwy 71, McIntosh County, Porum, OK 74455; and one (1) autotransformer at Southwesterns Paragould Substation, located 2 miles Northeast on Hwy 1 from Hwys 1 and 25 intersections, Greene County, Paragould, Arkansas 72450. The Eufaula autotransformer shall be of the outdoor, core form, three-phase, 60 Hertz, two-winding, oil-immersed type, self- and forced-cooled, Class ONAN/ONAF/ONAF, rated at 120000/160000/200000 kVA. The Paragould autotransformer shall be of the outdoor, core form, three-phase, 60 Hertz, two-winding, oil-immersed type, self- and forced-cooled, Class ONAN/ONAF/ONAF, rated at 42000/56000/70000 kVA. As part of the installation the contractor shall be required to remove and temporarily store the existing autotransformers; and, set, completely assemble, install, fill with oil, connect, field test, and place the new autotransformer in complete readiness for operation immediately after delivery. This solicitation will be issued as a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The applicable North American Industry Classification System code for this acquisition is 423610 and the small business size standard is 100 employees (the applicable size standard for a small business offering a product it itself did not manufacture is 500 employees). The solicitation will be available on or about April 9, 2009, with proposals being due on or about May 12, 2009. It is the intent of Southwestern to award a single, firm fixed-price purchase order for this acquisition.
