Description
This announcement is a Request for Information (RFI). This is not a request for proposal and no award will be made as a result of this announcement. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) VISN 3 is seeking preliminary marketing information from prospective contractors to provide, install, and implement an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) clinical information system (CIS). The NAICS is 541511. The scope of this initiative includes five (5) Medical Centers in VISN 3 (Northport VAMC on Long Island, NY, James J. Peters VAMC in the Bronx, NY, East Orange VAMC, and Manhattan and Brooklyn Campuses of the New York Harbor Healthcare System). The CIS will integrate information acquired at the point of care from a variety of medical devices. These include, but are not limited to: physiologic monitors (GE, Marquette, Philips), ventilators (Maquet), anesthesia machines (Draeger, Ohmeda), gas analyzers, infusion pumps (Alaris), intra aortic and balloon pumps. The CIS will need to integrate with other information systems including, but not limited to: VA's VistA/CPRS hospital information system (Lab results, user passwords, ADT, VistA Imaging, etc.), data analytic system, and Anesthesia Record Keeping System (Picis). A Vendor Fair is planned for April 23, 2009 in the Bronx, NY at which time participants will be given the opportunity to present capabilities and concepts. Additional details about specifics of the fair will be provided to respondents. Interested parties are encouraged to submit their request to participate as soon as possible. ONLY THOSE VENDORS WHO CURRENTLY HAVE CLINICAL INFORMATION SYSTEMS INSTALLED IN DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS HOSPITALS ARE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS VENDOR FAIR. In order to participate in the Vendor Fair, respondents must contact the POC by April 15, 2009. Due to space restrictions, each vendor will be permitted to send a maximum of five (5) people to this vendor fair. Requests to participate must be submitted via email to Stephanie Morreale, Contracting Officer, at stephanie.morreale@va.gov. Requests must include company information as well as a list of proposed attendees. Any questions can be directed to the Ms. Morreale at the email address above.
