Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov/ and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single Government point-of-entry (GPE) for the posting of synopses and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to award a sole source contract to Raytheon Company of Portsmouth, Rhode Island, for engineering and technical services for NATO SEASPARROW Missile (NSSM) and Evolved SEASPARROW Missile (ESSM) related equipment. This effort is a part of the NATO SEASPARROW Project office and will include Foreign Military Sales (FMS). This procurement will be a level-of-effort contract and the period of performance is from March 2009 to September 2013. This effort shall involve review of ECPS (engineering change proposals), engineering drawings, technical manuals and PMS documentation, preparation of ECPS, conducting special engineering investigations and providing technical data/reports on NSSMS hardware/software problems. The Contractor shall also provide technical and engineering services to support the integration of MK 57 NSSMS, MR 48 GMVLS and MK 41 VL related equipment with other shipboard sensors fire control and weapons systems as well as the RI! M-7 and Evolved SEASPARROW missiles. Raytheon Company is the only source with the requisite design, development, production and integration expertise needed to successfully provide the required services. Companies interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact Raytheon Company directly.
