Description
Scope Solicitation Automated Cleveland Open Cup Flash & Fire Point Tester. Salient characteristics: Shall be ready-for-use apparatus capable of performing flash & fire point testing IAW ASTM D92. Be an automated Cleveland open cup apparatus. Heater shall be an electric heater which can be controlled automatically. Shall be supplied with brass test cup with handle conforming to ASTM D92 requirements. Test flame shall be a natural gas flame. Shall be supplied with an electric igniter for automated lighting of test flame & relighting flame during test, if necessary. Shall automatically extinguish test flame at end of test. Shall include overheating protection to terminate test at specified temp. in event of no ignition. Shall be supplied with a metal PT-100 temp. measuring probe. Shall be supplied with a draft protection shield, 3 feet of gas hose, preset test method for performing flash & fire point testing IAW ASTM D92. Shall include a liquid crystal display (LCD) & keypad for operation of instrument. Shall show test progress in real time on LCD. Shall be able to store up to 5 user-efinable test programs. Shall store up to 500 results in memory. Shall be supplied with feature for calibration of temp. measuring device. Shall sound an audible alert at end of test. Shall operate on electrical power 115 V, single phase, 60 Hertz. The instrument shall be equipped with protective deivices to prevent injurty to the operato or damage the equipment. The system shall meet generally recognized safety standards for industrial equipment. A user's manual shall be provided with the instrument, including safety notices, instrument description, specifications, operating instructions, maintenance & servicing, software description, calibration/standardization procedures, and troubleshooting. The offeror/contractor shall provide a qualified representative who is conversant in English and is thoroughly familiar with all aspects of equipment installation, calibration, maintenance, and operation to install & verify by demonstration that the instrument is in working order & meets the salient characteristics of this item description. The offeror/contractor shall provide a minimum of 4 hours on-site training in use of the instrument.
