Description
NOTICE OF CONTRACT ACTION (NOCA) This federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOps) announcement constitutes a Notice of Proposed Contract Action (NOCA), by the 551 Electronic Systems Group, Hanscom AFB, MA which intends to issue a contract to ADTRON Corporation, 4415 E. Cotton Center Blvd, Suite 100, Phoenix, AZ 85040, pursuant to the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii) entitled "One responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements"; FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii) is authorized under 10 U.S.C. 2304-(c)1. This proposed Sole Source acquisition will be for the following items: 3.5" Solid-State Small Computer System Interface (SCSI) Flash Disk Part Number: S35FA-1054CBD1, Quantity: Fifty (50). The flash disks are upgrade/replacement parts in support of the Radar Systems Improvement Program (RSIP) of the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) Airborne Warning and Control Systems (AWACS) aircraft. The flash disks will replace the existing mechanical disks of the AWACS radar's Removable Memory Assembly (RMA), which is an integral component of the radar system. The mechanical disks, which have reached the end of their serviceability period, are no longer manufactured and there are no sources for repair parts. The 3.5"solid state SCSI disks were developed by ADTRON as replacement disks for the USAF AWACS fleet (ESC-USAF Contracts F1968-95-C-0041 & F19628-95-C-0042) and are form, fit and function with the RSAF AWACS radar system. Since no other compatible disks are available, the Government ! has determined that an award to any other source other than the ADTRON Corporation would result in substantial duplication of cost that is not expected to be recovered through competition and cause unacceptable delays in fulfilling this Foreign Military Sales requirements. This notice is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). In addition, this notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government nor does it restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. Please direct any questions concerning this notice to the attention of David H. Hawkins, Contracting Officer, 551 ELSG/PK, 3 Eglin Street, Hanscom AFB, MA 01731-2328, telephone 781-377-8357 or via e-mail: david.hawkins@hanscom.af.milADDITIONAL INFO: 3.5" Solid-State SCSI Flash Disk on HERBBCONTRACTING OFFICE ADDRESS: 3 Eglin Street Bldg 1612, Hanscom AFB, MA 01731-2328POINT OF CONTACT: Collin.manzo.ctr@hanscom.af.mil
