Description
This project consists of replacing an existing 62” x 72” x 40’ arch pipe with a government supplied timber bridge with timber abutments. The existing culvert passes Gypsum Creek under the Middle Gypsum road. The bridge is 16 feet wide with a 28 foot span and 10 foot rise. A second requirement of the project will consist of removing and disposing of an existing 50” diameter culvert and 15” diameter steel pipe and replacing them with a government supplied treated timber bridge with timber abutments. The existing culvert and pipe pass Tepee Creek under the Kinky Creek Road. The new bridge is 16’ wide with a 28’ span and 10’ rise. Both new bridges are currently located at the Pinedale Ranger District upper yard, 10 Favazzo Subdivision Road, Pinedale, Wyoming for pickup. This project also includes hauling and placing approximately 278 cubic yards of local pit run material for 500 feet on the west approach to the new bridge. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, tools, supervision supplies, materials and quality control necessary to divert the existing creek, remove the existing culvert, construct the bridge, shape and compact the approaches and roadway, and pave the bridge and approcahes per the drawings and specifications. The project is located on the Pinedale Ranger District, Bridger-Teton National Forest, Sublette County, Wyoming. The contract will be 60 calendar days. Offers are due at 3:00 p.m. MST, May 13, 2009. The estimated price range is between $100,000 and $150,000. A previous pre-bid meeting was held for this project last fall at which time we visited the project site. Since the site will most likely be snowed in now, another pre-bid meeting will be held on April 14, 2009 to show photos of the site and answer any questions from prospective offerors that were not able to attend the meeting last fall. The solicitation will be available on approximately April 13, 2009, and can be downloaded from this site at that time. All responsible vendors shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database. All responsible sources may submit an offer that will be considered. The proposed project listed here is a HUBZone set-aside.
