- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs has a requirement for industrial laundry/linen services located at the VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System (VASNHCS) in Reno, NV. Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, management, supplies, soiled linen carts and liners, bulk delivery carts, transportation, and facilities necessary to perform complete and all-inclusive contractor owned/contractor operated bulk laundry/linen services and tasks required under the terms of the contract. All services are to be performed in accordance with standard industry practices and quality control measures. Services shall include pick-up and delivery of items by contractor personnel. These services are in support of patient care programs. Services are required Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. VASNHCS is required to provide 24-hour support operations essential to patient care. Contractor services turn-around shall be performed accordingly to support the medical center operations. All services shall be provided Freight On Board (FOB) at the VASNHCS located at 1000 Locust Street, Reno, NV 89502-2597. Offers will be considered only from responsible offerors who are regularly established in the business required. THIS IS A PRESOLICITATION NOTICE only and the SOLICITATION IS NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. The solicitation will be issued as a 100% set-aside for Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) Concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 812332. The size standard for this NAICS code is $14 million. The Department of Veterans Affairs anticipates awarding a firm fixed price contract. The period of performance will be for one (1) base year with four (4) option years, if exercised. The approximate solicitation release date is on or about May 4, 2009. The solicitation will be available solely through FedBizOpps. The RFP will be issued under solicitation number VA-261-08-RP-0045. The solicitation and any related documents for this procurement will be made available to interested parties through electronic media for downloading via the internet at Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) www.fbo.gov. All interested parties must have a Dun and Bradstreet Number, Federal Identification Number (FID), Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR), and registered in the Veteran Information Pages at www.VETBIZ.GOV.
