- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, VISN 6 Centralized Acquisition Service, intends to negotiate Sole Source procurement with Novadaq Corporation on behalf of the VA Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. This proposed contract action is for the SPY Intra-operative Imaging System which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 603.2. The VA believes the SPY System is the only system that leverages infrared laser technology, high-speed imaging, sophisticated software and a fluorescent agent with an unparalleled record of safety capable of producing real-time visual images of natural blood flow and tissue perfusion in the area of cardiac surgery. This system received clearance by FDA for cardiac surgery as well as for plastic, reconstructive, and micro-surgery. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within seven (3) days from the date of publication of this announcement. Supporting evidence must be in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to meet the capabilities and safety record of the SPY System. Information may be sent to the Contracting Officer, Pat Easter, 201 Hay Street, Suite 304, Fayetteville, NC 28301. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the VA Medical Center will proceed with the Sole Source negotiation with Novadaq Corporation.
