Description
Intra-Alaskan cargo air transportation services from Elmendorf AFB to locations throughout the state of Alaska, including the Aleutian chain. Desinations include, but are not limited to Eareckson AFS (Shemya Island), Cape Lisburne, Barter Island, Cape Newenham, Cape Romanzoff, Cold Bay, Eielson AFB, Galena, King Salmon, Oliktok, Point Barrow, Point Lay, Sparrevohn, Tin City, and Indian Mountain. Aircraft must be contractor-furnished, IFR-equipped, multi-engine aircraft, capable of operating to and from 3,500-foot gravel airfields, and be capable of flying in extreme arctic conditions. Aircraft utilized must be 463L pallet capable, accommodate cargo up to 108 inches high by 120 inches wide, must have truck bed height straight loading capability and have drive-on drive-off capability for various vehicles up to 30,000 pounds, and capable of carrying cargo payloads of at least 40,000 lbs, depending on destination and fuel load. The period of performance will be 1 Apr 2009 through 31 Mar 2010, with four 1-year option periods. Offeror must be certified under Part 121 of the Federal Aviation Regulation (14 CFR 121) and willing to commit aircraft to the Civil Reserve Air Fleet (CRAF).
