Description
The Marine Corps Systems Command, Program Manager, Infantry Combat Equipment, is conducting market research to obtain information about sources capable of providing the Marine Corps Running Suit to be used by Marines in physical training and to be comfortable in all types of weather. The Running Suit must also be suitable for Marines to wear on liberty. The Running Suit consists of a light weight jacket and pants that will be purchased as a set. The basic salient characteristics are: moisture management, light weight, anti microbial, breathable, quick drying, machine washable, reflectivity, and water resistant. A Microsoft Word version of specifics for the exterior material, the physical requirements for the lining material, reflective location, and slide fastener is attached. Additional detailed requirements, to include patterns/specifications, will be provided through a formal solicitation. A formal solicitation has not yet been developed; however, a solicitation is! planned for release no later than 90 days from response date of this notice. Berry Amendment restrictions will apply to any requirements. Offerors will be required to certify proposed articles are Berry Amendment compliant and may also be required to provide additional information confirming compliance. The minimum contract quantity is 80,000 sets with a maximum contract quantity of 330,000 sets using an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract, a base and two one-year option periods. First Article Testing will be required. NOTE: THE INFORMATION PROVIDED IN THIS NOTICE IS FOR PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE AT ANY TIME.
