Description
This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared inaccordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additionalinformation included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the onlysolicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item (Computer Simulation Technology(CST)Microstripes EMC Edition Software)) using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified AcquisitionProcedures set forth in FAR Part 13.This notice is being issued as a Request for Quotations for: CST Microstripes Emc Edition License Software (1 Job)Last item.No other software is compatible for use with NASA's systems and requirements. In theperformance of electromagnetic interference analyses for the Launch Services Program,NASA has designed and developed unique software models that interface with Microstripessoftware. This software is required in order to meet mission and launch schedules. Theacquisition of any other software would entail unacceptable technical risk by introducingincompatibilities with existing data, simulations, models, and processes and wouldrequire years of redevelopment work and potentially impact launch schedules. CST is theonly source of this software support.The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 2005-16 This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The NAICS Code and the small business size standard for 511210, $25 millionrespectively. The offeror shall state in their offer their size status for thisprocurement.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.Delivery to KSC, FL 32899 is required within 30 days ARO.
