Davis Bacon Wage Rates Statement of Work (SOW) Request for Quote (RFQ) Modification 0001 - The purpose of this modification is to upload the Request for Quote documents and extend the date for submission of quotes through 04/14/2009. The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Ocean Service (NOS), Center for Coastal Environmental Health and Biomolecular Research (CCEHBR), Cooperative Oxford Laboratory, is in need of a Contractor that can provide all materials, tools, and supervision for the underground boring and laying of pipe for installation and connection from existing propane tanks to Government owned generators for the location at 904 South Morris Street, Oxford, MD 21654-9724. DESCRIPTION: The Contractor shall provide all necessary personnel, equipment, and materials to perform work within the Scope described above in order to meet contract requirements. The Contractor is required to appropriately refill any disrupted ground with material of comparable quality and workmanship as surrounding undamaged portions and allow for settling soil. The Contractor is responsible for leaving the work site clean and in a condition equal to or better than before work began, this task includes but is not limited to grading and reseeding of all disturbed areas. The Contractor is responsible for marking all underground utilities prior to breaking ground. The marking shall be performed by a qualified professional, hired by the Contractor, using equipment suitable for locating all existing utilities that may be disturbed in any stage of the project. Any necessary test pits required to avoid hitting existing utilities must be included in the proposal. Work must be accomplished without interruption of facility activities unless arranged for 48 hours in advance. Once boring has been completed, propane gas lines will need to be laid in the conduit to connect propane tanks to generators listed: Connect One (1) 1K gallon Government owned propane tank to the following generators: Kohler 12KW generator located close to the main building near the exit in the "Freezer Hall", Century Pro 20-22 KW generator located close to the main building near the exit in the "Freezer Hall", 22KW Sentry-Pro by Gillette located behind the micro molecular trailer, 25KW Baldor Powergard A generator located behind the box storage, Block Storage, pole barn building. Also, connection is required for a 20KW Kohler Connect generator associated with the exposure laboratory near the river to the newly installed leased propane tank that currently services the newly installed tank farm. Any business capable of completing this project is encouraged to respond to this announcement within 10 calendar days after publication of this notice. The NAICS code for this action is 238910. This service is being procured under the guidelines of FAR Part 12, Commercial Acquisition Procedures. The Central Region Acquisitions Division requires that all contractors doing business with the Acquisition Office must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR).
