Description
Description:This is a sources sought synopsis. The intent of this sources sought synopsis is to identify potential qualified contractors that are capable to provide engineering, design, logistics efforts and fabrication to militarize commercial construction equipment. The offerors shall be required to purchase or manufacture commercial construction equipment and modify the commercial equipment to meet specific Military requirements. Modification for Military requirements shall include that all diesel engines are JP-8 compatible; trailers and any over the road equipment are wired to tactical vehicle interfaces of STANAG 4007 including black out lights; the trailer mounted construction equipment shall meet or exceed MIL-STD-209 for lift and tie down requirement for transportation by rail, highway, ship and air if possible; coat the construction equipment with Chemical Agent Resistant Covering (CARC) paint in accordance with MIL-C-53039 with the color SEABEE green, chip #34064 lusterless! flat in accordance with FED-STD-595; and military markings. The contractor shall verify by testing that the construction equipment is compatible with JP-8 fuel; lifting/tie-downs meet the requirements of MIL-STD-209; MIL-STD-209 information plates are valid and other required markings are installed, including Item Unique Identification (IUID); and thickness and application of paint shall meet military standards. The contractor shall provide maintenance manuals; operational manuals; operational/maintenance training; spare parts list with provisioning information; Transportability Report on each of the different types of construction equipment. The construction equipment for this effort is listed below. A.
