Description
This posting is solely for pre-solicitation purposes and the actual solicitation itself will be posted sometime in the near future. Responses to this notice are not required. The 36th Contracting Squadron, Andersen AFB, Guam announces the solicitation of the Simplified Acquisition of Base Engineering Requirements (SABER) project. Proposals will be solicited for performance of a broad range of maintenance, repairs and minor construction work on real property at Andersen AFB, Guam. The work is required in support of the 36 Mission Support Group, Base Civil Engineering (BCE) activities. The solicitiation when it is posted will be set-aside for competitive Hubzone entities. The project, when awarded, will be an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity type contract and will include a wide range of individual construction tasks as listed in the R.S. MEANS Cost Estimating System. Individual task orders will be issued to the Contractor. The Contractor is required to furnish all materials, equipment, labor, supervision and other incidentals required to complete the project. The Contractor is required to provide and maintain a management office at Andersen AFB, Guam. Individual projects would vary in size and complexity to include a variety of tasks such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, welding, electrical, sheet metals, etc. The NAICS for this acquisition is 236220 with a size standard of $31 Million. The minimum guarantee is $10,000.00 for the life of the contract with an unguarnateed maximum of $30,000,000.00 The contract will have a base period (from award date to 31 December 2009) and four option periods consisting of twelve months each. Solicitation Issuance is tentatively scheduled for the middle of April 2009. Contract award will be based on best value using Performance Price Trade-off (PPT) procedures. All interested parties may view and download the solicitation on this website. It is the contractor's responsibility to visit the site periodically for any changes or updates to the solicitation, as no paper copies will be issued.
