Description
The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) intends to issue a contract for Rental Services for four (4) 6,000 Gallon Water Tankers including delivery, FOB Destination, to BIA Road Project N20 - Gap, AZ and/or BIA Road Project N35 - Sweetwater, AZ. A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation No. RMN00090044 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) and will be procured under FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-31. This acquisition is a small business set-aside. NAICS Code: 532412, Small Business Size Standard: $7 Million. Rental Services are estimated to be from April 20, 2009 through September 30, 2009, for a total of four (4) 6,000 Gallon Water Tankers on an as-needed basis. Each water tanker shall meet the following minimum specifications: 1. 6,000 gallon capacity;2. Tandem axle;3. Trailer mounted with 5th wheel hitch;4. Top 24" inlet for loading and bottom rear 6" or 8" control valve outlet for water discharge; 5. Springs on water tanker and tires must be in good condition;6. Equipment shall comply with all safety requirements. Award will be made at a fair and reasonable price to the responsive and responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the requirements herein will be the most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. DELIVERY: Delivery of water tankers will be on an as-needed basis to BIA Road Project N20 - Gap, AZ which is approximately 85 miles north of Flagstaff, AZ and/or to BIA Road Project N35 - Sweetwater, AZ which is approximately 145 miles northwest of Gallup, NM and approximately 80 miles west of Farmington, NM. INSPECTION: Inspection will be completed by Project Supervisor when delivered and prior to acceptance of water tankers.
