- Description
- The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Virginia seeks sources and information for a tactical vehicle battery replacement utilizing new and advanced battery technologies. Of specific interest are battery technologies and chemistries capable of frequent deep cycle operations and rapid charge/discharge. Batteries should be a form fit replacement for existing lead acid batteries (see MIL-B-11188H and MIL-PRF-32143A). Proposed solutions should be Commercial-off-the-Shelf (CotS) or Non-Developmental Items (NDI). Proposed solutions shall include information on voltage ranges, cold-cranking amps, temperature ranges, total amp-hour capacity, and maintenance requirements. Pricing information and delivery time frame shall be included. This sources-sought / Request For Information (RFI) is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a Request For Proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire follow-on acquisition. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI, or otherwise pay for the information requested. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of submission of responses to this RFI and Government use of such information. The Government recognizes that proprietary data may be part of this effort. If so included, clearly mark such restricted or proprietary data and present it as an addendum to the non-restricted/non-proprietary information.
