- Clarifications and Questions for the Walk Through for Cable TV Distribution. 1.On the statement of work, items a & b under Item #1 have been revised for three (3) TV, mounts and wire. 1. Item 1a. on scope of work will change from 3 to 2 TVs. 2.The location for placement for the above items TVs are as follows. As you come into the building, on the Westside of the north wall, cafeteria and the second floor shall be on the North wall (subject to change) 2. The location for placement and mounts of the TVs within the buildings are now as follows using the 1a-k on the scope of work: a. One TV will be on second floor south end of hallway waiting area on North wall tilted wall mount. Second TV will be on first floor in cafeteria located on South wall tilted wall mount. b. West end of the North wall corner mount c. Front entrance hallway on North wall by power outlet d. To the left of the LED digital reader banner on the wood beams tilted wall mount e. To the left of the West wall mirror against the Telecom room wall. The current mirror will be moved to the right so there is adequate room. tilted wall mount. f. To the left of the candy/soda machine above the water cooler. Corner wall mount g. Break room on West wall by power outlet h. Break room on West wall i. Where current TV is located in front entrance way j. In front entrance way above the roof hatch 3. Location 1k will no longer be needed and be taken off Scope of Work. 4.Signal Origination is coming from where? Answer: The communications closets will have the receivers Answer: There will be a receiver located in each telecom closet. The cable run will be from the receiver in the Telecom room to the jack where the TV will be located. 5.Some cables will be in the same cable tray as our voice and data cables. All cables shall be shielded to prevent crossing of the signal. 6. Power will not be installed by winning bidder. Power will be provided for the locations that do not have power already there. 7.The size of the TVs in all locations will be 46 inch 8.Must contact Project Manager before start of an installation and completion of all installations so they can be site surveyed when complete. 9. a.2a-f on Scope of Work; do you want monitors or TVs? i.Monitors are for all the locations on FTH. The monitors are for all the sites off FTH. ii.On FTH the TVs will connect to the cable TV infrastructure. Off FTH they will connect to a network video stream. b.Did we have a local contact look at these sites to verify a place with power; some entrances are all brick and may need to already have power. no c.Do we have all the info we need to tell them to get an IP Receiver or do we need to be more specific? Here is what we have: ETHERNETV WINDOWS MEDIA IP RECEIVER Self booting IP Receiver that decodes Windows Media video and audio for display on plasmas, LCDs, and televisions. Integrated with EtherneTV Portal Server. Supported outputs are: Composite Video, S-Video, or VGA. Note8000-0113
